  • Awesome story of a robot living in a human world.

I was not sure what to expect, but the minute I started to read this short story, I knew I could not put it down. It takes you in the mind of Restorative Human Medical Care Unit 7435, an android or robot that is designed to bring medical care and assistance to the living. But this time, this robot has to help take care of a dying patient. Through the story we see how this new job is effecting her, which makes her feel more human than what we might imagine.

  • Happiness level?

The restorative robot finds out that placebo care can help the patient. I feel so sad for the robot. She can't break the rules by providing care above the patient's level. She wants to help. [A very short story.]

  • Too short

This one unfortunately very well puts the "short" in short story. While giving the reader the very interesting point of you of a sentient AI within the Singularity world, it leaves the impression that there was much, much more that wasn't explored. I would'vre loved if it continued for just another ten pages...
