  • Loved Roman!!

Every time I think that I just love a book and that it can't be topped a new one is released and it tops my favorite... I loved Max and it was my favorite in this series, until bad boy Roman's story... This book is kind of a double romance story. Primarily you get Roman and Lexi's story, however you get her father's story and her best friend/almost mom's story. Essentially you get Lexi's POV, Roman's POV, and Brian's POV, I thought it might get confusing, but it was very smooth transitions between them, there was no guessing who's POV when you were reading it was very clear. The characters, all of them were genuinely likeable, though Gray (Ryker's wife) was a little bitchy/snarky in this book. Was hard not to enjoy seeing bad boy Roman brought down by Lexi. And was so cute watching Brian (Gray and Lexi's dad) fall for Georgia. You read some books where the characters are there but you just can't connect or identify and then you read others that you just click with and for me I really felt it with Roman and Lexi. There is some interesting family dilemmas/strife that gave the story a more realistic feeling. There's some books you read that are just so unbelievable, and I didn't feel that way. The book moves fast, and keeps you hooked. I loved this book! Definitely another success! Hit this one out of the park!!!

  • Romance with multiple layers

I really enjoyed this book. I was surprised by how many things were happening during the story and how nicely everything worked together. Although this is the seventh book in the Cold Fury Hockey series, it could be read as a stand alone novel since each book in the series really does tell its own story. Readers of the series will enjoy seeing characters from previous books play an important role in this installment. This was a story that hooked me right away and I found myself having a hard time setting the book aside. Lexi is an amazing character and really the focus of this story. This book wasn't only focused on romance although romance played an important role. Lexi has moved to town in order to meet her father, who happens to be Brian Brannon, the owner of the Cold Fury Hockey Team. Lexi's father doesn't know anything about her until they meet. During her first trip to the Cold Fury office, Lexi meets Roman and there is an instant attraction. I liked Lexi and Roman together and thought that they made a great couple. They just seemed really good for each other and had a lot of chemistry. It was fun watching bad boy Roman try to figure out how to be in a relationship. I also really liked watching the relationship between Lexi and her father develop. They accepted each other almost immediately and it seemed so right. Lexi's relationship with Gray was a little more painful to see develop but it felt completely realistic. I really liked the fact that this book was told from three different points of view. I didn't expect it but it really worked well. Getting a chance to really see what was happening from Lexi, Roman, and Brian's point of view really made the story work. Each character had a lot of emotions wrapped up in everything that was going on and getting a chance to be in their head for part of the book just made everything feel more real. I would recommend this book to fans of contemporary romance. This book really tells a big story with a lot of emotion and it was really nice to watch everything develop. I can't wait to read the next book in this fun series! I received an advance reader edition of this book from Random House Publishing Group - Loveswept via NetGalley.

  • Fantastic

Another home run (or should that be goal??) in the Cold Fury series from Ms. Bennett. Roman is a little bit cocky, a bit of a troublemaker, and a whole lot of yummy. Being called to the GM's office isn't anything new for Roman. Being the teams enforcer has landed him in trouble more than once. This time though while waiting to be called in he meets the most interesting woman he's met in a long time. Lexi Robertson is definitely a woman he wants to know better. Will she give him a chance when her newly found sister fills her in on his reputation?? Trust me you want to find out. I highly recommend you grab a copy of this one.

  • Loved Roman

5 star Review Roman (Cold Fury Hockey #7) by Sawyer Bennett This is book 7 in the series and another winner for Sawyer Bennett in my humble opinion. These books keep getting better and better and I fear I may have found another book boyfriend; after reading the previous book in the series, Max I was certain he was my favourite, now I'm not so sure. When Lexi Robertson moves to Raleigh to contact and meet up with her father Brian Brannon and her half sister Gray, little does she know that a chance meeting with Roman will change both their lives forever; not only will she find a family that wants her, but a man who despite being her total opposite, is her soul mate. I love a bad boy and Roman Sýkora is certainly one of those. I connected with Roman from the start and I have to say that I fell for the feisty and quirky Lexi just as much. These two just seemed to be two halves of a whole, meant to be together. I was attracted to Roman's character from the first page and couldn't put the book down; I so wanted these two to get their happily ever after. I really enjoyed the camaraderie between Roman and Lexi, it was obvious that these two really liked each other and thoroughly enjoyed their time together, not just on a sexual level. I love that Ms. Bennett's characters are always so varied and that their struggles are so believable. In Roman, not only is there the struggle of a new love, but of building a relationship at the same time with a family Lexi only recently found out about, throw in the fact that Roman and Gray cannot stand each other and it makes interesting reading. This is not only the story of Roman and Lexi but of Brian and Georgia who happen to meet when Brian goes to Lexi's work to watch her perform. I loved the glances we got of these Brian and Georgia and I wouldn't mind in the least if they got their own expanded book. It is so refreshing to read a love story between an older couple, something we rarely see in the romance world. Roman is smoking hot , arrogant and yet at times so vulnerable, a real keeper in my opinion. There were times throughout the book that I wanted to smack Gray around as she struggled with her relationship with Lexi and with Roman, but in the end Ms. Bennett brought the story to an awesome conclusion that had me falling even harder for Roman. This series is to me a family and I loved catching up on the previous couples and seeing what is happening in their lives. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series as it keeps getting better and better.

  • Roman hurled though my heart, like a blaze of glor

Yet another great addition to the Cold Fury Series!! Roman hurled though my heart, like a blaze of glory! Brining my emotions to the edge and back. Which a intensity and drama that had me on edge. But I was swept up in Lexia and Roman! Their journey of loss, love and heartache. Was worth it all!
