  • Fantastic cowboy romance - Love the Rykers!

Ryker Ranch is one of my favorite places! I’ve been waiting for Sam’s story, so I was very excited to receive an #AdvancedListenerCopy of this book in exchange for my honest review. Sam and Tucker are ice and fire. Each character is complex and they are drawn to each other with an intense physical attraction, but also as kindred spirits who are part of a large extended family. Ten years ago they parted on bad terms, with anger and misunderstanding separating them. Now that Sam is back on the ranch they are still drawn to each other. They have lost a lot of time, but this story is all about healing from that and letting go of lost time to make the most out of your future. It’s a beautiful love story of 2 hearts who belong together (and sexy cowboys). It also warms my heart every time Momma Ryker gets after someone for swearing and how the family sticks together. Beyond the beautiful love story and the wonderful Ryker family, let us not forget that there are plenty of sexy cowboys in this series! You don’t want to miss Tucker all oiled up displaying his skills on horseback. You cannot beat sexy shirtless cowboys! Aaron Shedlock and Teddy Hamilton narrate this story beautifully in DUET with Stella Hunter. Duet done well adds such a wonderful layer to the story that lets you stay immersed without losing track of who is speaking, especially in a male-male romance. Aaron, Teddy, and Stella are just top notch narrators who did a FANTASTIC job! Let’s talk about extras! Kim loves us because at the end of this book we get wonderful extra content with George and Sandy’s story - which is sooooo good! We also get a sneak peek into the next spin-off series with Sarah’s story and the trouble she gets herself into - love her!! We also get a sneak peek of Ignite, narrated by Jason Clarke and Stella Hunter, and I’m so excited I almost can’t stand it! Can we get a hallelujah for a cowboy fireman?!? I received an #AdvancedListenerCopy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

  • This is the reason I read romance

I knew Sam's story would be my favorite He was always the mysteriously aloof brother - if that is even the right word. He seemed just out of reach emotionally to the family and a bit angry at the world but we never knew why We do now This takes us back to the past and the events that led up to Sam leaving as well as some other memories over the decade he has been gone that have shaped the men both he and Tuck have become Tucker had found his home at the ranch and it wasn't just a place to lay his head. It was his family by choice, His breath of completeness, A place where his heart pitched a tent and called it mine He had only ever loved once and he let that love go because he believed he was doing right by it A decade later that love returned and Tucker knew he had to mend the damage he had wrought Sam returns a decade later after an injury and finds the pain of his past is still front and center Sam had been young when he gave his heart away. No one ever came close to those two weeks with Tucker It had been the greatest and the most defining time of his life He never loved again - This is the reason I read romance - Family, Love, Sacrifice, All the little pieces that make up life brought together in an emotionally satisfying story You will laugh You will get the teary eyes You will love You will never forget This can be read as a standalone but truly the whole series is a must-read

  • Amazing!

This is one of best MM romances I've read. Sam and Tucker took my heart and had me laughing, crying, blushing, and swooning all at once. Their chemistry is amazing and I love the support they had from the family, even when Sam was scared of their reaction. Even though there are some steamy scenes, it's not about that. They're sexy but not in your face and it's more about their connection and the journey to them finally admitting their feelings. Now, I can't wait for the next series and what craziness Sera gets into. I also listened to an early copy of the audiobook and it blew me away. The narrators do such an amazing job that I swore I was right there with them. I could feel the emotions, the drama, the longing, and pain.

  • All the feels

4.5 Stars for Roped Tight This is the first book I have read by Kim Lorraine but it certainly won’t be the last because I fell in love with her characters and her strong writing. This is Tucker Weston and Sam Ryker’s second chance at love, their story is a beautifully written, MM romance that has all the feels, it’s steamy, it’s romantic and there is plenty of fun mixed into this entertaining read. Sam and Tucker have known each other since they were teenagers, now a few years down the track Sam is a pro bull rider and Tucker is a ranch hand on the family ranch, feelings run high and the chemistry they share is scorching hot but the problem here is Sam has yet to admit to the world that he is gay. Sam is now home for good and that means seeing the man who occupies his dreams on a daily basis so will second time around work for this couple or will Sam insist on staying in the closet... This is a romance about love and trust, it’s about being patient and it certainly has all the feels. I loved the story, I loved the characters and I highly recommend you one click this gem.

  • Great characters

I can't resist a cowboy or a second chance romance, so as soon as I read the blurb for Roped Tight, I knew I had to read it. I haven't read the other books set in the Ryker Ranch world, but this one is a standalone, so I didn't have to worry about trying to catch up with storylines. This is also my first book written by Kim Loraine, and after what I've seen here, it won't be my last. Sam and Tucker are absolutely combustible, both in the past and current day, and we do get both. I'm not always a fan of so much backstory, but it totally worked in this book. Maybe that's because I couldn't get enough of them or maybe it's the writing. Either way, it worked. Both guys are completely lovable, and they just feel like they belong together. What I mean by that is I felt like they belong together - the whole way through this one. These two are the kind of couple you can't help but root for. The story is compelling, the romance has all the feels and then some, and the characters are interesting and lovable. That's a darn good combination in my opinion, and I will be checking out Kim Loraine's other books while I wait for the next one.
