  • Off to a Good Start

In order to pay off her parents debts and prevent their going to prison, Esmay signs up to be an alien mail order bride on Mars. By accepting one of the savage alien as her mate, her family's debt will be wiped out. All she hopes for now is that her alien mate will be kind. Esmay is alarmed to find that she has been matched with Prince Vaath, a powerful warrior who battled against Earth. And yet, he acts so differently with her, protective and desiring her constantly. He is aware she fears him, but all he wants is to win her love. Can he show her that she never has to fear him? That his own heart already belongs to her? I enjoyed this book, even though this theme is very repetitive lately. Prince Vaath’s followers have lost most of their females, and whether they want to or not, they need to claim human females as their mates. But danger is coming, and they will have to keep their females safe. Grab your copy of this start to a new series.

  • Excellent start for a new series

This is a great start to a new series. The story involves Esmay who signs up to be a bride to a Marttiaxoxalian warrior who then turns out to be Prince Vaath. The story tells of the hardships placed on the humans on Earth by these conquering warriors that causes young women to sign up to be brides in order to erase crippling debts that their families are facing. As Esmay and Vaath learn to care for each other there are behind the scene forces that want to tear them apart. Who these forces are comes as a surprise to Vaath when an attack is made on him and his new bride. It is a well written story that quickly becomes a love story. I would highly recommend it as a great read. Looking forward to a Rem’s story.

  • Outstanding

I absolutely enjoyed reading this outstanding Sci-Fi mail-order bride alien romance with an “enemies to lovers” undertone & it can be read as a standalone. I found the plot to be well-paced with good world building & fascinating to read with excellent, vivid descriptions of the Martian cultures & technologies. The characters are well-developed with individual personalities & portray realistic emotional feelings according to the current situation they find themselves in. There is good support from the secondary characters. There is: a young woman (Esmay) decides to become a mail-order bride in order to save her parents & siblings only to discover she is matched to a deadly blue-skinned warrior (Prince Vaarth) who led the battle against earth & the cause of her problems in the meanwhile Prince Vaarth is determined to win her heart but there is trouble on the horizon, humans, aliens, alien fertility issues, anti-human brides resistance/terrorists, action, adventure, drama, twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, deceit, betrayal, hatred, enemies, danger, threats, attacks, violence, conflict, discovery, distrust, emotional turmoil, friendship, loyalty, steamy scenes, contentment, love & a well-deserved satisfying conclusion. I would recommend this Sci-Fi alien romance & look forward to the next book in this series with great anticipation.

  • He's fallen but she may be his salvation

Fast paced entry to a new series. Esmay signs up to be a mail order bride to save her family. She is matched to Vaath who happens to be the prince and heir to the throne. There is excitement, true love, relief that they are a true match and an evil group trying to stop Martians from marrying humans. They'll have to find a way to work together to save themselves, their people and their planet. Likable characters and genuine attraction make this an easy read. It is a standalone. I did find there were a couple of things that didn't end up fitting into the story. I wonder if they'll show up later in the series? If not there is a bit of rambling going on but nothing too distracting from the main story. (I voluntarily reviewed an ARC).
