  • Good read

Rumpole is Falstaff with a sharp wit, roots sunk deeply into English literature and a reflection of the late Mr. Mortimer’s seemingly deeply-held belief in the presumption of innocence. In good company with John Grisham, the Rumpole stories reflect our follies as humans, challenge us to accept them and remind us that “there but for fortune….” In his own arena, Rumpole is heroic, although he’d be the first to utter a sardonic challenge to the thought. Great light fare, told with affection through the voice of keen observer and minor philosopher.

    Thanks for your feedback!
