  • Wow... Rebus and Fox!

A confirmed devotee of Ian's writings, I can honestly say that this novel is the best yet. A griping story with two great characters, Rebus and Fox! We see Rebus maybe is on the way out. Not entirely appreciated for his unique skills and abilities, he comes out of retirement to joust with Malcom Fox who is being thrown back into the regular police job. No more complaints. Rankin does a great job of reintroducing Malcom back into the fold placing him in Siobhan's care. Now we have all the three most important characters together in a story that winds it's way along like the streets and byways of Scotland. A must read for Rebus/Rankin fans and I must admit, one that is hard to put down for very long. Another 10 out of 10!

  • Pleasure to read!

I love reading Ian Rankin's books! So easy to read and it keeps me wanting to read more. I love reading all the streets in Edinburgh as I have been there myself because I live in here!

  • Lovely tramp through Edinburgh

It all pulled together in the end ... As it always does. Very satisfying. Always hate when the last page is trend.
