    Endearing, Romantic & Entirely Delightful!

4/4.5 | Hot Steam Clio and Rafe’s journey from adversaries to lovers is a captivating affair aided by a castle full of strong personalities whose meddling and misdemeanors add hilarity and lightness to this entrancing and confectionery romance. Smart, playful and sweet, Clio, the novel’s darling and likable heroine, is a luscious and lovely match for the incredibly swoon-worthy Rafe Brandon. Like Clio, I soon fell madly in lust and love with that tortured bruiser and his wicked ways. Rafe is just the kind of hero that I crave—commanding, virile, powerful and insanely sexy. And that’s just his delectable exterior! Hidden beneath his brutish demeanor and rugged masculine appeal is a secret soft-hearted and sentimental man. Rafe loves and feels so deeply it hurts. His every thought and every action becomes about Clio. The lengths he goes to please her—the wild passion he unleashes when he possesses her— oh my! His enviable devotion to Clio simply ruined me! But I think what I adore most about Rafe is that he sees Clio like no one ever has—his equal, his goddess, his soulmate, his. Who could possibly resist such a man like that? Endearing, romantic and entirely delightful, SAY YES TO THE MARQUESS is a joyous read that kept me smiling and sighing every step (and misstep) of the way to Clio and Rafe’s charming HEA. I treasure this winning series and can’t wait for WHEN A SCOT TIES THE KNOT (Castles Ever After #3) releasing August 15th, 2015! Complimentary copy provided in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed this a great deal

I enjoyed this a great deal. Not quite as much as I did the first book in the series, but I wasn’t as disappointed with it as some other reviewers. Forcing the planning of a wedding on a reluctant bride made room for lots of silliness and it was all quite amusing. I liked watching Rafe and Clio come to terms with their feelings for one another. I could understand their motivations and see where they were coming from. I just wish this book had a little extra… something. It needed an extra spark or some more dramatic conflict to take it to the next level and make me love it the way I did the first book.

    Great cast of characters!

I fell in love with Rafe the minute he said that he found Clio to be his personal distraction. I just loved the fact that he’s wanted her since forever. Clio was an interesting heroine, spunky, fun and full of life. I also loved her sister Phoebe. I would enjoy a story about her, as she would make a unique heroine. Also, I can’t forget Bruiser. He cracked me up! This story had a great cast of characters. Rafe was a bit too hard on himself and at times I wanted to smack him for not giving himself more credit.. however, that part played well into his character so I could forgive it. This is the second book in the “Castles Ever After” series, but you do not need to read them in order as they are only connected by the fact that both heroines were given a castle from the Earl of Lynforth. However, I do recommend the first book as well.
