    Lots of drama and action!

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy. At first, I felt like I was dropped in the middle of a story as there were references to a terrorist group and references to previous couples which having not read any previous books, I was missing details. As the story progresses, there is more of a spotlight on the back and forth romance between John and Carmen as well as the fight to stop the measles outbreak. Watching as Carmen directs all the different parties to try and coordinate the response teams as they try to save lives during this outbreak is interesting. There are also many repeated attempts on their lives which is never resolved so I can only hope that there will be more in a future book? At the end some of the people involved with the terrorist group are revealed but after they are either killed or captured, there is one more attempt on their lives so someone is still behind the scenes leaking info and it is someone in either the CDC, Homeland Security, or the FBI. I liked the realization that John had when he saw that Carmen can take care of herself and he needed to back off or lose her. Nice that they got their second chance, and a great HEA.

    Phenomenal

I absolutely love this series. From the first page you have to dive right into the chaos and adrenaline and it never lets up until the end. John is recovering from his third instance of someone trying to assassinate him. Carmen is trying not to pull her hair out trying to get him to stay safe and to control all the attacks around them. Things heat up when coupled with the outbreak bombs start going off around them. The cast of characters are phenomena. There is non stop action and suspense. Through all this John and Carmen are trying to fix a relationship that went of the rails 9 years ago. You will want to read the previous books in the series to get caught up and because you will be hooked on this fast paced and immersive story.

Fast paced romantic suspense at its best!

Loved this book! This is the fourth book in the Outbreak Task Force series and is just as good, if not better, then the prior books in the series. This novel focuses on Carmen and John's story as they investigate a horrific illness that is rapidly killing people and seems resistant to everything they try. Carmen is the CDC physician tasked with leading the investigation and John is the Homeland Security agent tasked to protecting her. This is fast paced romantic suspense at its best. If you enjoy the genre, you will love this book. This is a stand alone novel, however, it's so good that you really owe it to yourself to read them all. The author is on my must read authors' list and I'm already looking forward to the next book in the series.

    Intense story

Yet another intense story from this author that had me absolutely glued to my kindle ! As this particular story begins John Dozer is still in hospital recovering from his recent injuries when a would be assassin working for a terrorist group tries to kill him and John isn't exactly sure why or what they think he knows. Carmen doesn't care why John is a target but she is sure that if he can't or won't protect himself than the best thing is to keep him by her side. Yes they have history but it's a complicated mess. You would think tip toeing around their feelings would be angst enough but no this author continues this series with an even more deadly disease on the loose and its clear Carmen has her work cut out trying to prevent wide spread death and mayhem. The trouble is this epidemic and it's origin are very close to home with terrorists seemingly getting the upper hand. Carmen and John are up against the clock and still have to work through their past but when lives are on the line it's time to simply try to live ! I never know what to expect and can truthfully say this story was absolutely gripping. Bio terrorism is a new enemy to me and I thought the author did an amazing job of making the reader feel just how pervasive and intense it would be. I did like the couple but question their steamy romance or if precise it was the timing initially that surprised me. This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from Netgalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair

    A Good Read

Search & Destroy was a good book. That picks up pretty much from where Sleight of Hand left off with Homeland Security Liaison Officer John Dozer recovering in hospital from injuries he received when a bomb went off during a previous investigation, and when facing more threats to his life CDC doctor Carmen Rodrigues decides the only way to keep him safe is to keep him close. However, this is complicated by the fact they have history together and someone is out to finish what they started, someone who knows more than they should about them and the CDC. But that was only the start of this enjoyable story. As an outbreak of measles and more bomb threats throws Carmen, John and the rest of the team right into the action. And this is when I got, really hooked and the story got more interesting. As at the beginning, it was a little slow and hard to get into. Plus, I was having to remember what had previously happened. As this story continues a plot that was started in the very first book. But as always here was a nice mix of action and suspense. Not to mention an engaging romance and I would happily recommend it to others. **I was kindly provided with an ARC via Entangled Publishing in exchange for an honest review**
