  • Dull and unimaginative

I read the new Northanger Abbey before this 're-imagining' of Sense and Sensibility, so was expecting much more of this book. The idea of the Austen Project is to bring her seminal novels into the 21st century. That means more than adding a few references to Twitter and Facebook. An unimaginative approach to what could have been an interesting rework of a classic.

  • Sense and sensibility

Rather disappointing but think it's just a personal thing as I am not a great fan of Jane Austen apologies to all her fans

  • Okay...

I did enjoy it. I liked how the characters were so alike the original. But a classic is a classic for a reason. It lasts. It stays relevant without that needing to be explained or shown. This will never be better than the original and nor as important. But i enjoyed it. It was a different perspective of the story. The characters were not as real to me as the original but they were characters of more understandible for this era and i can understand a lot if people readibg it and enjoying it

    Thanks for your feedback!
