  • Gaboldon delivers again.

As always, Gabladon delivers another excellent escape into the 18th century (with some asides in the 20th). Although I love the big books, the bite sized stories were great as I was able to finish each story before having to move on to tasks that were waiting.

  • Can't ever get enough of this author

Her characters are so believable you don't want to put this book down. You do want to see what becomes of them. They are all painted with such care and respect, wit and historical accuracy for the time. I love that Lord John Grey is a hero and so loyal to his family and the people he cares about. Every story is filled with warmth.

  • Not bad

A little more Jamie would have been good...but we can't have it all the time.

  • Perfect!

Love catching up with all the characters. A nice filler while I await the next big book.

  • Seven Stones to Stand or Fall

Brilliant as usual. The historical detail always transports me back to the 1740's onward, like I'm really there, in the stories. Would have loved a bit more of Jamie Fraser, however I still enjoyed each short story or novella.

    Thanks for your feedback!
