  • Norse Myth and Fae Lore fusion

Shades of Vahalla initially grabbed my attention because of the allusion to Norse Mythology. Logan has developed her own world in a combination of Norse Myth and Fae Lore which I found intriguing. It did take a while to get into that part even though there was some subtle foreshadowing. Once Siri discovered what she was, the pace picked up. There is a prophecy; she is important. Just as the story gets interesting, it end abruptly. I realise there is a sequel (it's a trilogy actually), but I would have expected a bit of a segue? I will read the next book because I want to see what happens. Thank goodness it is already available or it would have been more frustrating. If you enjoy coming of age Fantasy that includes Mythology and Folklore, I believe you will enjoy the book. One if the most appealing parts is the world / alternate realm Ellis Logan created.

    Thanks for your feedback!
