  • Shadow of victory

This book fills in some of the blanks from previous stories but other than that I was very disappointed. If you don't know the rest of the books in detail this book will just confuse you. In my opinion this book was unnecessary to the series and there is really nothing new in it

  • Just back story

Love you series, but this one was a bit of a dud. Lots of back story and not a whole lot of action. It's worthwhile if you're a fan, but it you could get almost as much from reading the Wikipedia plot summary.

    Thanks for your feedback!

  • Latest Honor Harrington

Not what I expected. Basically it is a reprise of previous stories/books. It didn't advance the overall story.

  • Disappointing

This was a disappointing story. I've been reading David Weber since the beginning, and this is one of his weakest books. Filling in some elements from previous stories and finishing some elements of the Mesa storyline, this feels like an author just going through the motions. The main problem was that elements of the story went back over 2 or 3 previous books. Weber also seems to be indulging himself with playing with languages. He may think this adds colour, but the fact that he had to add a glossary at the back tells me it was not useful as a story element.

  • Shadow of Victory

My first ever review of a book concerns one of the most drawn out and appalling books I have recently read. Not at all up to the high standards of the Harrington series.
