    Bravo!

An excellent if somewhat tear inducing book. Jennifer Worth certainly has told a story that not only awakens us to the trials and tribulations of being a midwife in the 1950's but also to the change of morals and viewpoints that have happened over the years (sadly, not always for the better). Her series of books should be made a compulsory subject for all students to read in schools (as well as everyone else even slightly interested in "modern history"). To summarise - "A Must Read" series of books!

    Fascinating

A great read. Informative and interesting. Heartwarming and sad all at the same time.
