  • "Layers. We all hide beneath them "

Oh, he ll no you didn't! Please tell me you are not that callous Shark! Grab your stress ball ( Trust me on this - you will absolutely, positively need it) Pick a quiet spot Secure entryways And buckle in This is one intensely aggravating, at times emotionally trying, start/stop to what just might be this year's biggest train wreck of a romance! "Full Nelson to a single leg take down. The emotions referee smacked the mat. One, Two, Three. It was an easy pin. " Sebastian didn't stand a chance! As cold and calculated as our sadistic, egotistical, self-absorbed (I have other choice words to describe him but family-friendly and all that jazz) billionaire is Abbigail had him pinned before he even knew what hit him. "What if the big bad wolf was his true self?" Oh, Abbi ... those walls, that false sense of protection. You poor girl. You are about to be chum. Abbi is an absolute blast as a lead character - Smart. Driven. Fiery temper to match her stubborn nature (and lord is she stubborn). And wait for it... she is untouched 😲. Before you go jumping ship - It Works! I am being serious it was probably one of my favorite scenes. Not "the getting rid of " the problem but the moment of its unveiling. "Layers. We all hide beneath them " I swear both Shark and Little Red need therapy (issues much?). These two had me bouncing back and forth. One minute I wanted to hug them the next bop 'em upside the back of the head and knock some sense into them! Grant - I think I love you 🤣 Terryn - you scare me 😳 The copy I read was comp but the enjoyment --- That was the cast.

  • Absolutely loved this book!

I got this book through Bookish First with my points after reading the first impression. I struggle with books who have Co authors because they tend to not have a good flow and working techniques are different, however with Angel and Victoria I didn't get that vibe at all. The whole book flowed well. I love how well Abi and Bas are developed in the story and how well other characters were used to really help develop them. I read several reviews that felt Shark's Edge had a 50 Shades vibe, but I really didn't feel that way maybe it was the whole rich businessman with paid escorts. I was disappointed that the whole blame Bas got for the suicide at the beginning wasn't brought up again until the every end, but I'm glad that the are two more books in this series. Maybe I'll get some more answers on this mystery. Overall I really enjoyed this book.

  • Loved it

4.5 Star Review of Shark’s Edge (Shark’s #1) by Angel Payne & Victoria Blue Shark's Edge is book one of an exciting new series from Angel Payne and Victoria Blue. Having read several books from this writing duo, I was expecting heat, spice, suspense and danger and that is exactly what I got. I have no idea where one author finished and the other took over, such is the seamlessness of this writing duo. Sebastian Shark is a an alpha, dominating male focused on achieving his business goals. Abbigail Gibson’s a self made business woman, determined to make her catering business a success, even if it means handling difficult clients such as Sebastian. While sparks fly when they first meet, it is obvious that the chemistry that sizzles between them is off the charts. Will the passion that ignites between them burn them or could it be the start of something amazing? I am excited to see where these authors take this series and cannot wait for more.

  • Entertaining hot read

4.5 Stars for Shark’s Edge book 1 in the Shark’s Series. This is the first book I have read that this duo have written together and I going to be honest I wasn’t sure what to expect ... what I got was a book that kept me on the edge of my seat from the first page to the very last line. If you are looking for a book that’s full of mystery, suspense and all mixed up with a lot of heat this is the book for you...... This is Sebastian Shark and Abbigail Gibson’s story and it’s a tale about a man who is a dominating pure alpha who was prepared to trample who ever gets in his way, well that was before he met Abbigail. This couple share an instant attraction and intense sizzling chemistry but it’s only when the passion collides that we get to see a different side to both Sebastian and Abbigail will the passion ignite or burn out ..,guess you need to read the book to find that out. Shark’s Edge is a captivating read that I highly recommend

  • Can't Wait for What's Next!

I am so excited for this new series by these two awesome authors! Sebastian Shark is an arrogant, self-made billionaire who has opened up The Edge in downtown LA and brings women on their knees with his sexy looks. But there is only one woman that may bring this alpha down on his own knees. That woman is Abbigail. She is a self-made catering business owner who has Shark as one of her clients. Innocent yet sassy, smart and strong-headed, she fantasizes about Shark, yet his egoistical attitude has them butting heads in a tug of a war of dominance. He's domineering and she's outspoken. You can see where this romance is going. At the same time, there's someone after Shark, causing trouble for this business that may bring down his empire. I loved this book! There's passion, heat, mystery, suspense and at the same time, moments where you want to slap these two to their senses lol. I feel it is well written and we were able to understand the main characters and their personalities. While Shark is brass and ruthless, there are other sides to himself that you can't help but love. I will say though, for an alpha, he does come off whiny at times and I hope this is something that goes away during the series. There's a difference between a possessive, arrogant alpha and a whiny, immature brat. I love that Abbigail has been written in a way that makes her relatable. She's strong and has some weaknesses but she is definitely not those weak heroines that everyone wants to say is very strong but really isn't. I am excited for the next book and can't wait to see what will happen next! I want to know who is messing with Shark and see how this steamy relationship will go. Another 5 star read for me!
