  • Engaging beginning to the Hurricane Hope series

Shelter From the Storm is a sweet, clean, heartwarming romance. It even has some extraordinary shelter animals! Beccca, shelter director, and Ross who is head of the board, butt heads constantly until the day they, 2 dogs and three cats are trapped on during a hurricane. These characters have real personalities. They must work together to bring themselves and all their charges safely through the storm. Will they find that they complement each other and can that lead to an HEA? I could not put the book down!

  • “Hope”ful Love

There’s nothing like a hurricane to bring two souls together! Becca and Ross overcame their initial impressions of each other and in the process discovered something truly special and worth keeping. I really enjoyed the the plot and the realistic challenges of living through a hurricane. The author did a fantastic job of character development in the midst of believable circumstances. I really enjoyed this book and was thrilled with the happy ever after!

  • 3.5* for a sweet but not excellent story

I'd give this 3.5 stars. It was sweet, but the amount of times the bible and god were mentioned was insane for the length of the novel, really obnoxious. Also, for someone who cared so much, he was absurdly quick to just walk away, with zero discussion or anything - not believable at all for his character. That said, there was little drama and it was a nice feel-good story, and I liked the characters. I wouldn't steer an interested party away from it, but nor would I steer someone to it.

    Thanks for your feedback!
