  • Shipyard girls

Absolutely loved this book, I was born in Sunderland but moved away when I was twenty, I lived in Hendon and can remember most of the places. I am onto the 4th book now and loving the characters and their stories. I couldn't put the book down read on the bus to work, in my break and lunchtimes, thank you Nancy Revell

  • The shipyard girles at war

I just could not the book down, the story was so compelling. It brought world war 2 to life telling about the dock yards and the women who worked in them, can not wait to read the next book.

  • Memories

Born and bree in Pallion Sunderland 63 years ago, I can close my eyes and clearly see the swarm of men making their way up the bank from low Pallion to te sound of the 12 oclock buzzer. my grnndfather was a foreman in the shipyard. sadly i never met him but my Nana told me stories of the war years, and the brave women who had joined the swarm and who had worked with grandad. this book has brought those stories alive. i cannot waot for the next installment.

    Thanks for your feedback!
