  • Not all about spiders

Surprisingly, I would not recommend this title to people looking to enjoy a book about spiders. If you're like me, you will pick it up to enjoy a wonderful look into the thoughts of this wonderful spider as she struggles with survival in her new life If I had to complain about one thing, it would be that the special chapters feel less like a bonus and more like a tease. This is probably intentional, but it does annoy me

  • Very happy with my purchase

Being an arachnophobe, I never thought I'd be reading a book like this, but I really enjoyed it. I even had a dream after reading it where I had a large spider on my hand and I wasn't scared! Anyway, I don't read too much so I don't know how useful I'll be, but overall I loved it. The story was interesting, especially when other characters such as the adventurers referenced the main character. The action was surprisingly fun and inventive and definitely made the most out of having a spider as the MC. For example, attaching a ball of sticky thread to a long line and using it swat monsters in the air. Also, just the downtime between action and the attitude of the MC was likeable; they didn't fuss over being in a new world much and did what they could to survive, and a spider plus human intelligence just makes for cool outlook on the 'reincarnated in a fantasy world' genre. Can't wait to read more, and I'll certainly be buying the next volume after this review.

  • Relaxing to read

This book is not so difficult to understand, a simple novel to read if you like stories about monsters.

  • It was very good

It was really unique never read story of someone growing up in a labyrinth but even if I did the mc being a spider threw a fresh spin to the whole overused genre so thanks I look forward to more

  • Different from the anime but better!

After watching the first 4 episodes of the anime I had a fight with myself to resist buying the books and continue with the story. Days passed.... and here I am now. I noticed that Shuun and the other human characters got more spotlight here which I really liked! The other characters weren’t strangers that I don’t care about anymore. Although I prefer watching the fights in the anime, because of the animation but as expected story wise novels/the original source never dissapoints!! This book ended the same way episode 5 ended so off I am to go and buy the second book and then read new stuff ! The only thing I would wish for the novel are more drawings and the ability to zoom on the monster cards. I can barely read them because the words are so small.... I know that light novels/books don’t necessarily come with drawings but from the ones I read so far I really enjoyed the drawings to fangirl on!

    Thanks for your feedback!
