  • Exquisite!

Wow! This has made me think of all the epic love films which have touched me over the years: Brief Encounter, Mayerling and Love Story spring to mind . . . but this is more - so very much more. Zara is just a young girl who adores art when she first meets Leon in a small French museum during a power cut; despite each having no idea of what the other looks like, they both sense a deep connection. Over the next decade neither forgets the other - but, with everything which happens will they ever come together again or are they destined to live on only in memories? If this story doesn't touch your soul, then I suspect you need a search party! It has taken me to the high peaks of hopes, to the depths of despair - and back again. I feel quite wrung out! An emotionally charged read - and completely unpredictable - it is an exceptional novel, and one of those that it's really hard to put down in case the characters get up to something that you miss! Bursting with love, passion and doubt, I had no way of knowing how it was going to end and certainly have no intention of giving it away now. I'm in awe that any author could produce this beautiful, unforgettable romance as their debut. A stunning, exquisite, never-to-be-forgotten story which I fully expect to race to the top of the bestseller's list! A full five wonderful, sparkling stars from me.

  • Best Romantic Angst. Top 2020 reads

Oh my goodness. I need to release this breath I've been holding for the last 10% of the story... Can you say rollercoaster-of-emotions? YUP! I just got off this ride and my heart is bruised. My heart and I were taken on a ride we didn't see coming. And I'm so happy we got on. This was recommended to me by a friend and with all the enthusiasm she had for it I got all excited myself and requested it. The story was so well written. I loved it. Yes. It put me through the ringer but what perfect angsty book doesn't. Here's a book to all the angst lovers! There were times when I was like "This isn't far" And I might've thrown my kindle down a few times. Lol There were times I felt so strung out I just wanted to read the ending, the HEA and the further I got the more I felt this would not end good and that made me nervous but I continued reading because I just couldn't stop. I also had to tell myself that this might be one of those books that ends perfectly for the characters even of it's not the ending I wish for. ☆ The experience itself is worth it ☆ Someday in Paris is a MUST READ of 2020

  • True Love Really Exists

What a beautiful story!!! Dominique and Alexander had a chance encounter as teens. From that moment on their souls were connected and they had a bond that was unbreakable. However, life and all its obstacles, kept tearing them apart from one another. But ultimately true love always found a way to bring two heart destined for one another back together. This was a heart warming book of love and destiny that touched me deeply. It is a book about the kind of love everyone hopes to have in their lives one day. I highly recommend it! I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

  • Enchanting!

Someday in Paris: Olivia Lara Release Date: May 14, 2020 “People say it for a reason. Because it’s true. It does happen. The butterflies, the weak knees, the knots in your stomach. When it happens, hold on to it. Hold on to it like your life depends on it. Because it does. Depend on it.” Magical, all-encompassing and timeless; an unforgettable romance. Someday in Paris begins in 1954 when teenagers, Zara and Leon, meet each other in a French museum. The power is out so they can’t see each other, but they know instantly something is different. Their conversation of art and Paris, their voices intermingling, give birth to an intense, magic-like forcefield that will surround and follow them throughout the rest of their lives. As Leon returns to boarding school and his obsession for Zara builds, Zara’s dreams of him through his eyes; an extraordinary gift from the universe that binds her to him. As the universe never ceases to give both Zara and Leon glimpses of their loves, to remind them they are still there, unforeseen challenges arise and their love becomes complicated, convoluted. "It's about dreams and taking chances. Missed opportunities and mistakes. Loss and sacrifice. But above all, it's about love. The kind of love that survives time, distance. Even death. The kind of love I wish for you." Set in Paris, this book will make even the most cynical believe in soulmates. Believe in magic. Lara does an incredible job of transporting the reader into cafes and museums scattered across the globe. If you are looking for a 5-star, epic love story, this is it. As one of my new, timeless and favorite romances of all time, I recommend it to anyone needs who needs a reminder of what love is supposed to be and of what love can be. What an incredible, gorgeous novel. I am excited I had the opportunity to experience it. Everyone get ready for that May 2020 release!

  • What a superb story! Epically romantic!

WOW WOW WOW!!! I binge read this one. I devoured it in one sitting and now I regret finishing it; the question is how long will I wait before I read it again?? I started it last night thinking I'd read a few pages before bed; a chapter maybe two if they are short. Boy was I wrong imagining I could put it down. It was ADDICTIVE, that's the word. I kept giving myself one more chapter and before I knew it, I was 2/3 in and didn't stop until the end. It's been ages since I'd done that and especially with a love story. Usually I get all caught up in the action if it's a thriller or a mystery where there are twists and turns. The interesting thing is that I felt "Someday in Paris" has mystery in it too and whenever I thought I'd figured it out, it went another way so I never found the right time to stop reading. I was desperate to see what comes next, what will Zara do, what happens with Leon; the writing was flowing so naturally and I was so invested I forgot I was reading a work of fiction. I wonder if it's inspired by real events or at least real people because the characters were so alive on the page. What a superb story! Epically romantic! It made me cry, smile, dream. Another thing that struck me was how cinematic the story is. I hope they'll make a movie after this. Now that I think about it I don't know if I binge read it or binge watched it but whatever it was I'm still hooked. I'm looking up Lara to see what other books she wrote. "Someday in Paris" is going on my favorite shelf for sure and not just for 2020. I haven't read such a beautiful book in a long time. I'll recommend it to everyone I know. THIS IS ONE TO WATCH!!!
