    Not well told

This book lack dept and picture painting, I could hardly envision the environment or proper outline of the story. Bad story telling.

    Yes and no

I did and I didn't enjoy this story..........there seemed to be a lot going on and it seemed to take a long tome to get anywhere. I think the story had a good plot, but I think I was a bit frustrated at how long it took to get the end

    Would recommend!

A very entertaining period drama, perfect for taking on the train or on your commute, as I did over a couple of weeks. I thought the main characters were well developed and I was glad to see it all come to a very satisfying end!!

    Great Historical Romance

Somewhat Scandalous is my first book by Pearl Darling and it was a nice surprise. Ms Darling has given us a well written book. Agatha and Henry's story is an entertaining read and full of fantastic characters. Ms Darling has plenty of suspense, action, humor and spice through the book to hold a reader's attention. I enjoyed Somewhat Scandalous and look forward to reading more from Pearl Darling in the future. Somewhat Scandalous is book 1 of the Brambridge Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

    Details!

I must confess, I didn't read past Chapter 3. I only read that far to see if the author would really let her female character abandon her old, weary horse, with saddle still on, in the cold, rain and sleet. Not a person I could like or care about so I abandoned her and her author. And the love interest? He gets hit so hard that blood drips down on his coat and he's dizzy but not once ... in 3 days ... does anybody address that. So long, uncaring people.
