  • Book two

Book two in Ghosts and Reincarnation series by Kristen Ashley I will admit I’ve read them in completely wrong order because I trusted Goodreads completely but after checking the reading list from the author I read the third book first. I will also admit I put off reading this series and I’m not sure why but I’m glad I finally started it. Douglas is the Lord or Sommergate House but I incredibly unhappy especially living with his uncaring mother. When his sister and brother-in-law die he finds out that in the will he is now a guardian and so is brother-in-law sister Julia to there three very upset nieces and nephew. Julia is American and moves countries to live with the children and help raise them. Douglas didn’t help much at start but that’s mostly because he was too upset to look after the kid especially Lizzie that looked identical to her mother and he didn’t get a great upbringing so he didn’t know how to express his love. Julia and Douglas have a very weird relationship especially at start when neither spoke much and Julia was left in responsible for them. In end I loved this book but the epilogue is quite lengthy and describes all the characters conclusion even the deaths which made me really sad. Wish the epilogue opens up to short stories for the other characters instead of just this little tease
