I want to be a Child of the Library

My Review All of Elisabeth’s life she has lived in one of the Great Libraries and is hoping to train to become a Warden of the Library. Elisabeth has been taught all sorcerers are evil. When she is falsely accused of a crime against the library, she is given over to the sorcerers to be punished. To clear her name she might have to trust one of the sorcerers but can she trust someone who she has been told is evil to help her? I love Margaret Rogerson’s first book An Enchantment of Ravens and only had one complaint and that was the world-building wasn’t very strong. In Sorcery of Thorns, the world-building is fantastic and descriptive. I felt like I was walking in the library with Elisabeth who is the main character. I love Elisabeth so much. I really connected with her love of books and curiosity. Her strength and conviction to do what is right are inspiring. Nathaniel Thorn is one of my new book boyfriends. His wit, his sass, his heart, the love he has for his bodyguard and friend Silas, his strength in the face of loss, and his chooses all won my heart. Silas is such a great character. I can’t say more about him because of spoilers. One of my favorite parts of this book was how the books were alive and have personalities. It was also so unique how the sorcerers get their powers. The story was so captivating and I didn’t want to leave this world or the characters. I laughed, I cried, I cheered, I had ALL THE FEELS. This book is a love letter to all book lovers. This book is for everyone who found themselves in books. For everyone who thinks that a book in hand and stack of books on your nightstand is heaven. I can’t recommend this book highly enough. Quirky and Completely Unique

I've seen this book everywhere and everyone is singing its praises, and now I finally know why. This book deserves all the hype it's been getting because it is truly unique and unlike anything I've ever read. There is truly nothing else like Sorcery of Thorns, and I am so glad I gave in. The story is completely unique, the world and magic endlessly inventive and fun (book lovers in particular will find this a highly rewarding read). Even with its creepy nature with monsters, demons, and danger, the story had endless charm. I could not get enough of it, or its three wonderful leads. Elisabeth is a joy, a strong, unlikely hero with a big heart who I always rooted for. Nathaniel and his dry wit completely charmed me. Silas is enthralling and complex and exciting. The pages were packed with adventure and creative action. The monsters were unlike anything I've read before, and the entire book painted an exciting image that will stay with me for a long time. I adore this book so much and am glad it surprised me. A must read for all book dragons and lovers of libraries, or anyone looking for a fun, unique, creepy, and quirky read!

    An absolutely wonderful read

Whimsical and well-paced, readers will love Elisabeth and the rest of the cast instantly. Delightfully charming, witty, and full of solid adventure, it makes for a story impossible to put down and leaves you missing the characters as soon as you hit the last page. A pleasantly diverse world too, ready to welcome readers of all stripes with open arms. I can only hope for more!

    Holy Guacamole

To be honest I only got this book because it was all over Instagram and let’s be real the cover is absolutely stunning. But I was immediately entranced with the characters as well as the story line! Books, magic, sarcastic sorcerers ;))) this book was so completely original and something I think my book slump needed. I highly recommend this book to all people who enjoy libraries and who see themselves as a someone who finds that the word home means a book
