  • Loved it

5 Star review of Southern Sunrise (Southern Series #4) by Natasha Madison Just when I think Natasha Madison cannot shock or surprise me, she pulls another out of her hat. Having recovered from Southern Storm I had no idea where Ms. Madison would lead us in this book. The fourth book in this inter connected series and was just as intriguing and addictive as the first three books. Although, not absolutely necessary I feel it might be beneficial to read them in order. What an emotional roller coaster of a read Southern Sunrise was; from the first chapter, I was reeled in and fully invested in Ethan and Emily’s story. Reeling from the secrets revealed, Ethan left town 5 years ago leaving everything and everyone behind, including the woman he loved, Emily; my heart broke for the anger, pain and betrayal he felt. Finally returning home, he knows that forgiveness will not be easily given. He is shocked to learn that Emily the only woman he has loved ,is now engaged to his best friend, however no all is as it appears. This book will get to you on numerous levels and is well written, full of angst, drama and above all love. The road to happiness will not be easy for Ethan and Emily but if they can get through the pain of the past and come to terms with the present, it will be worth it.

  • Wonderful second chance romance!

I absolutely adore Ethan and Emily and their second chance emotion-filled journey to their beautiful and satisfying HEA. I would have expected nothing less from Natasha Madison with this amazing series she has written! Although Ethan and Emily’s story was not all rainbows and unicorns, it makes sense because life generally isn’t. I love second chance romance but it’s important to keep the reality that there would never be an easy way towards a future together if things did not end on an easy note the first time. And things did not end easy for these two. Ethan had his reasons for leaving and he knows he has a lot to make up for and explain, but he knew that when he returned with his sights set on winning Emily back. He has been through so much but with Emily by his side he knows he can do anything! Loved this whole story and the epilogues were fantastic!! My heart is so full!

  • Beautiful and emotional.

This is one of the most beautiful book I’ve read this year. I knew it would be heartbreaking but Natasha made me cry with this book. This book is a beautiful second chance story about forgiveness and about family. Ethan and Emily were childhood sweethearts. They were even engaged. But one day Ethan got a news that devastated him and he left everything and everyone behind. I confess, I was mad at Ethan. I understood him but I was still mad and my heart broke for everyone. After five years Ethan returns and everything changes.. My favorite scene? That last person he made amends with. It made me cry. This book give me so many emotions. I didn’t want it to end. Natasha is one of my favorites authors and wonderful storyteller. But she scored with this book. My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  • The boy becomes the man.

We first met Ethan when he was a sweet eight-year-old boy. Now in Southern Sunrise, he’s a man and has been given some hard news to swallow. Finding it hard to face, he blames the people closest to him before leaving home and joining the military. He deserts not just his family but the only girl he’s ever loved- his fiance Emily. Ethan never planned to ever return but after his last mission went horribly wrong, all he wanted was to get back home. Finally, he got his wish fulfilled. But, his girl isn’t his now. She’s with another man and Ethan is stuck. Can he face down his demons, find peace with his family, and get back his girl? Emily swears she’s finally over Ethan. She’s moved on and is getting married. But, every time she sees Ethan, more memories swirl around her. She has to face the truth. Can she forgive Ethan for leaving her? This book was bursting at the seams with an emotional roller coaster of feelings. I cried for both characters. Ethan is struggling and Emily is just so unsure of how to react to him. Watching them reunite was a thing of beauty, a light in this year’s darkness. Another winner for Natasha Madison and a worthy One-Click candidate.

  • Natasha Madison at her finest.

Southern Sunrise is Natasha Madison at her finest. She can write a love story like no other. Angst, heartbreak, heartwarming, and reading about a LOVE that was meant to be. Madison pulls at all of your heartstrings. She will break your heart then she will slowly stitch it up and make it whole again. A second chance romance that you can’t put down. A romance that endures heartache and pain. The love of a family that is stronger than anything. Southern Sunrise gives you everything you love in romance. Highly recommended. *I was provided an advanced readers copy of this book by the author in exchange for my honest and voluntary review.*
