Very good read and lots to ponder

Daleymple is certainly an intellect that is worth reading. His facts are backed by thorough research on his part and I have lots to ponder on how I have been looking at the world.

    Patchy arguments

I found the basic premise interesting, back by anecdotal evidenve, almost but not quite made a convincing argument. It does give a remote glimpse of the Brexit and Trump phenomena, where feeling over rules facts, but then goes on to describe Gordon Brown as an unreconstucted dictaot , over his efforts to provide aid in Africa. Its like when you start a serious discussion in a pub about the causes of unemployment and as the drinks flow , someone starts hintinf that maybe its those immigrants.
