    Ok

It took me a really long time to actually start enjoying this book, I was over 2/3rds of the way through before I even started to care what happened next. The end third was very enjoyable though. Probably won't bother reading any more in the series and won't be revisiting this one again.

Fast paced good plot. This guy knew something about writing a good novel. Thumbs up.

    More meets Rambo.

It's a cracking yarn. Fast paced, action packed and full of gory detail. Central characters are well drawn with just enough back story to stop them becoming cartoons. Some nice twists to stop it becoming totally predictable ( in faith the story rips on so fast you may well see the next twist coming but it's on you before you can start to feel smug) Some nice procedural corroborative background detail to stop you feeling its ventured into Xmen. Competently written but without any pretentions to greatness. Crime noir (maybe rouge), at its British best
