  • Lunartics Will Love It

Like many series anthologies, this was written with clear love for the fans. Even if it weren't, however, each story stands on its own and adds to the layers of beloved characters, as well as the world. Most of them touch on references made in the main series, though a few are retellings or almost completely devoid of the main cast. All of the stories are great, with SOMETHING OLD, SOMETHING NEW being pure sugar and fluff (but it's too cute for me to poke much fun at it). My favourites, however, were arguably the most tragic stories: THE PRINCESS AND THE GUARD, and THE LITTLE ANDROID. While this would be difficult for anyone unfamiliar with the series to get through, given the lack of context needed, I definitely recommend it as an add on to anyone thinking about starting the series (which you totally should!)
