  • Book 1, Demons on Wheels MC, by Ravenna Tate

Tannin's Thunderbolt is the first book in a new series by Ravenna Tate. Raiyana Parente is the proud owner of her own marketing firm, Silver Lining Marketing. She has every right to be proud. She built the company on her own, from the ground up, and she's done a remarkable job. Or has she? When disaster strikes, she's forced to take what she can, leave her home and company, and run. She has no idea where to go or what to do. She's beyond stunned and heartbroken. How can she fight something she never knew about? Where is she going to go? Who can she turn to? What is she going to do to save her business, employees, friends, and even herself? Tannin has the great misfortune of meeting Rai as she pulls off the highway into the entrance of Scotty's, the strip club owned and operated by the Demons on Wheels motorcycle club. Due to some unfortunate food choices, as well as her panic and fear, she makes a terrible first impression on Tannin. But Tannin sees past the snark and defiance in Rai to the terror and desperation underneath. He knows he's going to catch hell for it, especially since he knows nothing about her, but there's something about this woman. Against his better judgment, he brings her into Scotty's. Sure enough, the rest of the group is none too happy about this. But all that soon changes. When Tannin learns what's happening, he has some serious decisions to make. Does he throw this woman out? Or does he help her? If he helps, does he do it alone or involve the members of Demons on Wheels in any of this? It's not an easy decision. There are unknowns and danger everywhere. In the end, will anything make any difference? Ravenna Tate has long been a favorite author for me. However, I admit I had a few doubts about this book. I've never cared for the motorcycle club romance subgenre, and I wasn't sure how I'd feel about this story. But I love it when favorite authors go in new directions, and I'm so very glad I read this book. It's not just a motorcycle club book. It's not just an erotic romance. Ms. Tate brings the very best elements of storytelling to this book in so many unexpected ways. The characters are charismatic, authentic, and totally engaging, and the interactions of all the characters are captivating and refreshingly realistic as well. This story is not at all predictable, and I love the unique storyline and setting. Ravenna Tate has always had a genuine talent for writing unique stories. I was totally hooked by this book from the first page, and can't wait to read the next book in the series. I give Tannin's Thunderbolt my highest recommendation without reservation. Thank you, Ravenna Tate, for proving to me once again that preconceptions have no place in a reader's mind. This was an exceptional book, and you are truly impressive as an author! One final note. Please be an informed reader and consumer! This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and sexual scenes. If you don't enjoy this genre, think hard before buying any book you know you won't enjoy. There are book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads and all booksellers' websites. USE THESE RESOURCES. DON'T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON'T ENJOY THE BOOK. IT'S NOT FAIR TO THE AUTHOR! She works extremely hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you'll object to the book's subject matter before you buy it, you're doing yourself and the author an extreme disservice. Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!

  • Silly

It is a story that is very silly from the beginning to the end. The author knows next to nothing about the mob, mc world or the fbi.. maybe a little about erotica, but not much either.
