  • Texas SEAL

SEAL stories are some of my favorite. If you are looking for just another I-can't-handle-his-job book, you won't find it here. Ms. Tyler has a great knack for writing Alpha males with real personality. The ones who don't have to prove their masculinity. Lyla is a strong woman who knows what she wants to do and is doing it. She isn't afraid to go for what she wants. And hey, they actually talk about issues instead of just keeping them inside. Trent didn't like down time. The Navy decided he had too much accumulated leave and had to take some. He didn't have any idea what he'd do, that is until a face from the past turned up at his door. His friend's little sister wasn't so little anymore. He'd thought of her often now she was here. Why? Lyla's brother was missing. How could he say no? Drugs, prison, bad characters, didn't matter. Helping and being with her did. He'd even face his folks and listen to their feelings about his life. Things are going just fine until her brother's problems are much worse than they thought. Bad enough to endanger Lyla. Their little trip turned into much more. A rescue mission. The bad guys were really bad. Could he handle it alone? Don't miss this amazing, jam-packed story into these pages. There is steam, emotions, humor, and characters you can root for. I Voluntarily reviewed this advanced read copy and not been compensated in any way.

  • Texas SEAL by Paige Tyler

Texas SEAL by Paige Tyler A SEAL to the rescue. Swoon. A sexy romance novella where a SEAL is forced to take a vacation and winds up helping a damsel in distress. The third in the series with the same premise. A fun adventure. No surprises. Good triumphs over evil. Don't miss this romantic escapism. Excerpt “But I know it’s tough on all of them, and I can’t blame you for not wanting to get involved with a SEAL. It’s probably better we figure it out now, before either one of us gets hurt.” Lyla blinked. “Wait. What? I’m not saying I don’t want to try!” Trent stared at her. Okay, now he was confused. “But you just said you weren’t sure what kind of woman could deal with that life. Asking you to consider putting yourself through something like that is more than I have a right to do, regardless of how I feel about you.” She leaned forward. “Were you asking?” Crap. His head was spinning so fast, he was practically dizzy. “Asking what?” “Were you asking me to put myself through that…with you?” she clarified. He opened his mouth then closed it again. He needed a lifeline in the worst frigging way. “I thought that’s what this conversation was about. Whether you wanted to get involved with me beyond these two weeks of leave.” “Is that what you want?” she asked. Trent felt like he was standing naked in a minefield with no idea which direction to go. All he knew for sure was that the next step he took was going to be extremely meaningful to the continuation of his existence. “Well…yeah. I thought that was obvious.” When Lyla’s eyes widened, he quickly held up his hands. “But that was before.” “Before what?” she asked, frowning in blatant confusion.” Excerpt From: Tyler, Paige. “Texas SEAL.” Paige Tyler

  • Give me more!

Back home after a perilous mission in Iraq, Navy SEAL Trent Wagner is told to take two weeks off. The problem is, Trent doesn’t know what to do with a vacation. He was taking it easy at home with friend and colleague Nash and waiting for the pizza delivery, but it’s a gorgeous woman who is knocking at the door. She’s Lyla Torres, the little sister of Trent’s high school friend, Marco. Marco had fallen in with the wrong crowd, has gone to prison, but it seems that he’s been clean for a while, and is now a successful sculptor. However, Lyla’s visit is not a casual one: Trent has vanished and since Trent knows Marco, he’s the most likely one to help her. Lyla had a crush on Trent, and Trent liked her a lot, but Lyla being two years younger, he never acted on his attraction, besides, Lyla is Marco’s sister. Trent agrees to go back to his home in San Antonio to look for Marco, and Lyla asks him to sleep in her guest room, and not bother with a hotel room. Paige starts TEXAS SEAL with a bang: the beginning is the exciting rescue of missionaries in Iraq, and I loved all the details about the equipment they use. Trent is so sweet, he doesn’t rush Lyla into anything, it was also very nice to see them have conversations and not remain stubbornly silent. I just loved the Torres family dynamics! TEXAS SEAL is a terrific suspense, and a very exciting ending, and although I knew going in that it was a novella, it the suspense angle was so fabulous, that I would have wanted a longer book. And I loved Erika’s protector! There is no cliffhanger, but I loved the characters so much, that I would like to see what happens to them afterwards. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
