    Suspenseful

The book was suspenseful and written well. The organization and telling of the story flowed well and held my attention throughout, especially in the last third of the book when the tension ramped up. The reason I didn't rate it with 5 stars is mostly due to the lack of punctuation separating clauses as they should have been and a few typos in the text. Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for providing a copy of this book to read and review.

    Gripping

What a suspenseful story. Dr Garrick gets called to an accident. Why are two of his patients involved. When he’s accused, what is he going to do. Don’t miss out.

    Intense thriller!

Grant Garrick has moved on after the suicide of his son and his subsequent divorce from Hannah. He is emotionally unprepared when called to the scene of an accident by the police. One victim, seriously injured, is the son of a colleague and close friend, Win Hempstead. The other victim, deceased, is a woman referred to Grant by Win for treatment. Her subsequent autopsy reveals her death occurred several hours prior to the accident from an overdose and a signed prescription pad from Grants office is found during a search of her apartment. Grant becomes the target of a news and social media campaign for malpractice. As more incriminating evidence is found in his office, Grant is convinced that he is being framed and sets out to discover the perpetrator. The book is another well written crime thriller in the Grant Garrick series from Tom Bierdz. The story line is suspenseful with plot twists and good characters. I received a free ARC, but my review is honest and voluntary.

    A very good thriller

Called to the scene of an accident, psychiatrist Grant Garrick is stunned to see his colleague's son, Cole, barely alive and the deceased woman he is with. Cole was a patient of Grant's and had asked for Grant by name at the scene of the car accident. Now, Cole is comatose. Grant takes this particularly hard since his son had committed suicide years earlier that also led to his divorce from Hanna. Win Hempsted, Cole's father, had sent a patient, Lara, to Grant Grant only saw her one time. It seems that that's all it took to set the wheels in motion for a very scary future for Grant. Grant is framed for Lara's murder - why? and even more so - who? An excellent read! I look forward to reading more from this author. Many Thanks to the Publisher and NetGalley for a very good read!
