  • Chilling

Well this is full of twists from start to finish! After an evening out celebrating a friends birthday Jenna finds herself going to the aid of a woman who has been stabbed, after visiting her at the hospital the following day the woman gets hysterical and suddenly Jenna finds herself accused of the attack. Jenna does not know the woman and cannot understand what is happening, when the situation escalates she finds herself risking losing everything. This is very easy to read, pacy and really focuses on the main characters without distraction. It’s easy to keep track of the storyline yet it still grips you and leaves you wondering what is really going in and why.

  • a tale of twists and turns

The Accusation is a tale of twists and turns. Jenna stops to help a stabbing victim in the park and ends up being accused of being the culprit. So much for being a concerned citizen only trying to help. You cross your fingers and hope that Jenna can figure this out before she is locked away in prison. Then the secrets start to submerge. Little by little. Some nice characters , some to hiss at it. The pages will turn quickly and you will be at the end before you know it. An entertaining read, I always enjoy Victoria Jenkins books and this is no exception. Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for a great read.

  • Good Read!

This one was a good read. A woman, Jenna, decides to take a shortcut through the park one night and ends up finding a woman who just been stabbed. She calls an ambulance and does everything she can to save her life. The next day she visits her in the hospital, relieved that she pulled through. But instead of greeting her with thanks, the woman accuses her of being the perpetrator. At first, Jenna assumes the woman is simply confused because of the injury and blood loss, but as the her accusation lingers and more unlikely evidence against her shows up, Jenna realizes she is in serious trouble. But why in the world is the finger pointed at her? It's an intriguing plot that pulls you in, as there must be more here than meets the eye. Her husband seems to withdraw from her just when she needs his support the most, and her teenage daughter, Lily, defies Jenna at every opportunity. Are they just processing their emotions differently, or does Jenna need to look closer to home to understand the accusation? I enjoyed how this one played out, nothing contrived or cliche about it. A satisfying conclusion to a great whodunit!.

  • Will Keep You Engaged!

A truly original psychological thriller! Jenna tries to help a woman in distress only to be charged with trying to hurt her. Everyone here has secrets - we just don't know how deep until the end. There are many false leads and red herrings which keep your brain engaged all the way through. Fast paced and tensely written.

  • A thrilling read

Wowza!! What a book!! It gripped from the blurb to the last page. Suspense. Action. Thriller. One of the most twisted plot lines in recent times. Author Victoria Jenkins sure had a ice in her veins when she wrote this. She proved the adage true – a good deed never goes unpunished. After a night out with her girls, Jenna decided to take a short cut through the park when a cry for help made her rush to save the life of the victim who was stabbed in the neck. Ambulance and police were called. And they barely managed to save the woman. Jenna decided to visit her the next day and to her shock, the woman accuses her of that crime. Prison was looming large when Jenna decided to get to the killer. Having read many of this author’s books, I still managed to be shocked completely. I thought I had a grip on thrillers, and I had seen it all. But no no… This one was elusive. The characters were super interesting. Jenna emoted her predicament well. I could feel empathy for her. I too was confused at one point. Was Jenna lying? The author sure kept me on my toes. Secrets in the family added another layer of subterfuge. Was Jenna being framed by her loved one. The questions were many, and each chapter added to my thrill. I had to admit every word gave me a sadistic thrill. The book pulled me in, and I loved swirling in the whirlpool of confusion. Why would a stranger frame Jenna? Absolutely unputdownable. I couldn’t stop reading till the end.
