  • The Aeronauts Windlass

Adventure, courage, new worlds. A good read. There's a bit of the underdog which reminds me of the Dresden Files, the "I spit in the face of danger" attitude of the captain, heroism from the common company, and great descriptions of ship battles kept me up. Unlike Dresden, there are more players and more threads to follow. Nice. I hope JB will inject more humor in the next installment.

  • Butcher at his best!

The start of another amazing series of books from Jim Butcher. I found it compelling from the first page. Another group of interesting and powerful characters. I like the relationship between Rowl and the rest of his helpers, you will understand after reading it. A new world vividly painted as only Jim Butcher can do! Bring on the next chapter, please.

  • Enjoyable, familiar set in a fascinating

Couldn't put this book down. There's enough common fantasy tropes to make you feel at home but they're subverted in some interesting ways. I really enjoyed the world and the characters and look forward to new instalments in future.

  • Awesome

Epic pageturner with a carefully layedout mythology and worldbuilding. I really liked the steampunk setting and the overall 'feel' of the magic systems.
