  • Alexandria Affaire

As always the author has once again delivered a great page turner, only this time set in an exotic country. Hated to put it down. Love the captain Lacey mysteries.

  • Great geographic / Historic novel

I have read all the Captain Lacey books to date. All very interesting particularly given the time setting. The characters are well matched in each book. In "The Alexandria Affair" it was great to see them all in a different environment. very interesting story but I felt that Brewster made it complete. he had the greatest one-liners. Recommend to others to read but maybe read any other Captain Lacey book beforehand to get the feel of the characters. Long live Brewster..

  • Keep ‘Em Coming!

Another great job by Ashley Gardner. Captain Lacey and his friend Grenville are traveling to Egypt for a much deserved vacation. However, James Denis has discovered that they are going away and characteristically decides that Lacey is going to run an errand for him, while they are there. Willing, or not, Captain Lacey finds himself having more than a vacation, when it appears his life is in danger. Who is following him? And what does he want? Another great historical-mystery, full of suspense and mystery, and unsuspecting humor. Ashley Gardner does it again.
