Trail or Track? Just a great read.

Kokoda is iconic to Australians and was the site of an heroic battle worthy of the best. Robyn Kienzle takes a new slant on it detailing the role her father in law played in making the Kokoda Trail the Kokoda Track. This is not just a war story, with great detail and care she relates the story of a family of pioneers, the hardships they faced and the role they played in making Papua New Guinea. This is a story of legends and heroes such as "The Fuzzy Wuzzy Angles." The book is a mine of information about what really went on not only in the war but before and after the war. All the joy and pathos, successes and failures are documented not only about the actual war campaign but of a family. My reading of the Kokoda campaign would not have been complete without this book. My life is enriched by the story of the Kienzle family.
