  • Heartwarming Story

The Beach House is a story about healing. Julie must reflect on her past and come to grips with not only a failed marriage (with her husband leaving her for someone else) but, a rocky relationship with her sister Janine. For Janine, she is looking for peace and a place to heal from an attack that only Julie knows about. Together the two forge an uneasy path to healing on the tiny island of Seabreeze off the coast of South Carolina. The Beach House is a pretty emotional story. It truly explores the reality of starting over after your world has collapsed from under you. It was scary to see how much Michael changed and how Julie didn’t seem to know him. I was so happy that Julie saw his true colors in the end so that she could get on with her life. I’d love to see another story with Julie and Dawson to see what they will become.

  • Starting Over

There was a lot of arguing in the book between Julie and her soon to be ex selfish cheating husband Michael, between Julie and her free spirited sister Janine, and Julie and her judgemental mother. She does find out who her true friends are. The country club ones and her mom were shallow, self centered, and judgemental blaming her for Michael's cheating. I loved the people on Seabreeze especially Dixie who owns the cool bookstore and Dawson the contractor, who were so welcoming and supportive. It sounds like a wonderful place to live.

  • Characters are so real

Loved this book. Moved really well. I hated for it to end. I’m so glad there are at least 2 more books in the series!

  • Light easy read

I throughly enjoyed this book. Was an easy read which I could relate to. Been there done that. With the last 7 minutes left in the story, I purchased the rest of the series, 4 books.
