    Just read it.

Great book. If you like the other malazan book of the fallen - books, you will probably love this one too.

    Among the best

A very long read even for Malazan's standards. It is however filled with action, interesting characters and at least 4 amazing convergences. Among the best, not just in this series, but in fantasy as a whole.

    Complex, wonderful

Love these complex books, the characters are all shades of grey. Was originally a game of thrones fan, before on tv, but had to wait so long between books, got a bit bored. Not with these books. Two writers giving a complete insight into their world. Thanks guys

    Meh...

To much waffle and pontificating by characters in what should be a good story. All the action seems to happen at the end. Everyone's a super hero and who wins/succeeds is a random roll of the dice. There's far too much Deus Ex Machina and I feel no sympathy or empathy for any of the characters. It's a shame. I've persevered this far with the Malazan books but I won't bother with anymore.
