    A fantastic read!

"The Book Of Deacon" is a fantastic book! I'm so going to read the rest of the books in the trilogy, the book is that good! Also, the cover of the book is gorgeous, which really catches the eye! I first read this book because it looked like a good book to read, and because it was free, though it really shouldn't be. It's about a girl named Myranda, who is a "sympathist" in a world of people who cheer and like the war. She unknowingly is cast into the adventure of a lifetime, where she will find her destiny, on how to end the war that is been going on for decades, in her homeland. A must - read book, in my opinion.

    Absolutely Fabulous Page Turner

Deacon is the mentor of a student of magic named Myranda who is gifted at many types of magic. He gives her advice and deals with her dragon Myn by giving Myn treats of potatoes for good behavior. Myn loves to fly, sleeps on top of Myranda, and protects Myranda with a vengeance (no manners). Myranda's training trials with a malthrope supposedly named Leo who trains her to fight to kill , trials with Ayna (a master of wind), trials with Solomon (master of flame), trials with Cresh (master of growing things magically). trials with Calypso (master of water magic) and lastly her trial to become a Full Master keep you hanging on every word. The characters have all kinds of character flaws. ****SPOILER**** The ending is a cliff hanger. I cannot wait to read the next volume!!!

    Keeps you reading

Mystery with hint of history. The introduction of wizardry was a welcome well thought out surprise. Looking forward to the next book. Great imagery in the writing.
