    Thanks for your feedback!

A great read and a compelling argument

I read this book 7 or 8 years ago now. What I most enjoyed is the author is not from North America. His perspective come from having grown up and been educated in India. I've read a number of books with the same theme since I read this book, a number from Rodney Stark as well as others. I have also read a number of papers from social commentators, some who we atheists. All agree with the conclusion of this book, the foundational principals that underpin the flourishing of the west was Christianity. Interestingly, a friend, who is in his 90s, was stationed in India during the second world war, read this book. He is somewhat of an amateur historian and he loved this book. All the examples used by Dr. Mangalwadi rang true for him. This book is well researched and the documentation is extensive. Dr. Mangalwadi's writing style is pleasant and many of the examples used to illustrate his points come from Dr. Mangalwadi's own life. It is disappointing that more people have not read this book. It is one of my favorites.
