    Everyone should read this.

I read this book a while ago and found it a book that you just could not put down. excellent story, and more so for me as I have been to Poland and saw the camps for myself. After I had read it, my grandson asked to read it, and now his sister has also read it,they were both about 11 years old, at the time, well worth parents getting this book for their children especially with how the world is at the moment. It is still happening through out the world, when we all were sure that it could not happen again. This is a book which should be read in all schools.

An amazing portrayal of the naivety of a young boy living in the shadow of the Third Reich. John Boyne shows us the horrors of a concentration camp in a very simple, yet effective, manner. Sad but beautifully done.

    Innocent and developed

After seeing the film, I wasn't sure the book would hold up. However, as it usually does, the book surpassed its adaptation to screen. Characters are deeply developed and surprisingly relatable. The innocence of the main character is heart warming and the story will have your heart in your throat by the end.

    LUV THIS BOOK!!!

I absolutely adored this book! It tells very well the story of a rich family living near Auschwitz and the young boy's friendship with a jew inside the camp. Although this story is a fable, it lets you know what kinds of things happened with the family of commandants and soldiers doing work for Hitler. This book is a must read for you history lovers out there!:)
