  • Can I Have the Next One Now?

Once again Jen has left me speechless and my brain still processing everything it has just read. The Brightest Night sucked me in from the very beginning and had me on the edge of my seat until the very end. This book made me happy, sad, angry, it made me laugh, how can you not with Luc and Daemon, it made my jaw drop several times in shock, and basically feel every other sort of emotion there is. It was another roller coaster of emotions book for me. The characters experience a lot throughout the book, especially Luc and Evie. The two of them discover a lot, not just about the world around them, but about themselves as well. They have never had it easy but they are very strong individuals and I'm proud of them, especially Evie. The ending was intense and blew my mind! I probably should have seen that coming, but I didn't, and I can't believe I have to wait a whole 'nother year to find out what happens next!

  • Holy alien babies! What a mindblowing book 3!

I'm mindblown, speechless, shocked, confused, a bit angry, a lot terrified and so so curious and intrigued. I'm still trying to wrap my head around what I read. I pronounce JLA the master of twists and turns. Every single book she keeps my attention glued to the pages and manages to leave me with mouth hanging wide open and desire for more. To be honest, I'm kind of horrified for the next one. What a ride though. I absolutely love this world. One may think I would get bored after a 10th book in this world, but I'm so addicted to these characters, I don't want to ever leave this universe of Luxen, Arum, Origins, and other powerful creatures. They are like family now. I felt their pain, fought their battles, loved, cried and laughed with them. The emotions were so deep and strong, I was overwhelmed with everything happening. Evie and Luc were just so cute together and their connection in this one really felt unbreakable. The romance was so sweet, the story so intriguing, the battles so intense. Everything fit perfectly like puzzle pieces added together to make the full picture. So well thought and captivating. There were also some very steamy scenes. Wink, wink ;) But the proverbial cherry on the cake was the appearance of all the others from the Lux gang. All scenes they were present, made me emotional, on the verge of tears or grinning wildly. It was so awesome to be back in this world and with these characters. That ending though. What was that ending! Still processing. I can't wait to read more, although I have to admit I'm a bit scared. With the above said I solemnly declare I'm addicted to Lux and Origin world. I need my next fix in this universe. P.s Swoon Alert! Shirtless Daemon with baby Adam. My heart nearly melted at that scene.

  • She's Done It Again!

Jennifer has done it again! I don't know how much more of this my poor little heart can take! This book had its rough spots but it was SO good. I can't even with that ending! Why do I love something that causes me so much pain?! I'll be honest and say that the first 5 hours or so of this audio book almost had me DNFing. It was just way too reminiscent of the pandemic we are currently in the middle of and I want more fiction than reality in the books I read. I would have eventually made my way back to this series after everything was okay but that would have taken a few years. I'm glad I pushed through it because it was worth it in the end. Evie was coming into her own in this book and I am here for it! I still love that she fights for what she thinks is right and how *most of the time* she doesn't take unnecessary risks or keep unnecessary secrets that could put the people she wants to protect in jeopardy for the sake of it. I can't wait to see what she's going to do to fix this ending in the next book. Luc. Luc. Luc. I love him. He has a sweet side to him that usually, only Evie is privy to. Though he's also capable of turning into a killer in 0.000001 seconds if need be. I just want to cuddy him close and protect him from the world at this point... or is it the other way around? I just need to believe that the next book will fix all of this. It just needs to! I've been alluding to an epic ending throughout this review and oh boy was it that and so much more. I both loved it and hated it for different reasons. I can't comment on it because of SPOILERS. That ending deserves to be devoured right along with this story. Just be warned, like a lot of Jennifer Armentrout endings, this one will also break your heart. The Audio Book: The narration was amazing! All the characters were distinguishable from each other and there were no weird background noises in the recording.

  • Geweldige serie

Geweldige serie !
