  • Great Read

This book really stands the test of time. Suspense, action and espionage at its best. One of my favorite Morrell novels

  • The Brotherhood of The Rose

Convoluted plot with the usual secret codes, betrayals, double-croses. Implausible action movie scenario with helicopter gun ships and shoot-outs. No sublety or suspense. I purchased all 3 in the series based on the supurb construction of the "Dequincey and Emily" series. I read 43% of The Brotherhood of the Rose before gaving up on the run-of-the-mill plot.

  • Retired

“The Brotherhood Of The Rose” was a very involved and complex story but a very exciting, suspenseful and entertaining novel with very strong characters. The ‘orphans, fathers, sons, brothers’ aspect of the book was the involved/complex part of the story and the “Sancuary” for the intelligence/counterintelligence agents from all over the world could almost be a believable concept when you wonder about some of the things these agents must have to do in the line of duty for their different countries. An extremely absorbing read!
