  • Funny but...

I laughed several times reading this book, however I thought there were several holes in the story. The female character was irrational at times and I couldn't buy the love story.

  • The care and feeding of stray vampir

I really loved this book. it is such a pleasure to read a well written work. i also loved the sense of humour. The premise of a girl providing a concierge service for vampires is novel and amusing especially when one of her clients causes her to break her iron clad rule of not becoming personally involved with the undead. If you are interested in a new tongue in cheek take on vampire human relations, this is the book for you.

  • This was so much fun

As you've probably figured by now, I am going through the list of #RARE17 authors and Molly Harper is on that list. And I am so happy she is :) I've never read anything of hers before now and I can honestly say that that was a huge mistake on my part. I really, really, really loved reading this story (well, I actually listened to it but anyway :D). It was entertaining and fun, romantic and sexy, and just to make it even better, sprinkled with suspense and mystery. When I started reading the story, I wasn't really sure what to expect. I do love vampire stories but lately, there've been so many that it is difficult to find a really good one. But this book is one of the best PNR books I've read in a long time :) Iris is such a fun character. I just love her quirkyness and sometimes stubborn nature :D She is all against socialising with vampires even though she deals with their everyday errands. But once her job is done, she stays as far away as possible. Well, until she meets Cal :D And even though she tries to resist him, there is just something about him that makes her weak in the knees :D And Cal is so totally worth it. Cal is quite an intriguing character. He is quite the old soul and considering he's been alive since the time of Helen of Troy, that's meant literary :D He does have some issues with modern etiquet and quite often manages to offend or anger Iris. But while they work through their differences, they find in each other what was missing in their lives. And let me tell you, Cal is so swoon worthy once he gets over his idea of women being the weaker gender :D So yes, if you haven't read Molly Harper yet, you should rectify that immediately. And you do need to meet Cal. I can guarantee you will love him :) And in case you've read the author before, then you know you are in for a treat :) This is simply the perfect light read for a night at home :)

    Thanks for your feedback!
