  • A compelling page turner.

TM Logan has the knack for writing page turning stories that the reader becomes immediately involved in. The Catch is told from different viewpoints allowing us to get inside the heads of 4 different characters, keeping it interesting. Looking forward to more from this author.

  • Fabulously Unsettling

I am a great fan of T.M. Logan having read Lies, The Holiday and I was equally thrilled with The Catch. I loved everything about this book - the story-line, the characters and all of the many twists and turns. Abbie Collier is hopelessly in love with her boyfriend Ryan Wilson and the happy couple plan to marry. But there's a problem - Abbie's father, Ed, doesn't like the suave, sophisticated Ryan and suspects him of hiding something, although mother, Claire, supports her daughter's choice and thinks he's a good catch. Desperate to prevent Abbie from marrying the wrong man, Ed digs into Ryan's past and in doing so he alienates his wife and daughter. But maybe Ed has other reasons for mistrusting his future son-in-law. I found Ed’s reactions natural and understandable as many people have misgivings when a lad sweeps their daughter off her feet and they then have to handle a wedding announcement. His unease is so strong that it turns into an unhealthy obsession in only a few pages. For me the author's skill lies in his gripping and powerful writing style. I was totally invested in this dad’s gut instincts and I loved following the snippets of clues, trying to spot the minutest detail that would prove Ed's fears were grounded. Claire's reactions to the happenings were pragmatic and practical restoring the equilibrium within the Collier family as far as possible. Clever and compelling, T.M. Logan has written another belter of a novel. Totally addictive from start to finish The Catch is very highly recommended and it is another must-read from this brilliant author. I received a complimentary copy of this novel, at my request, from Bonnier Books/ Zaffre via NetGalley and this review is my unbiased opinion.

  • Catch

Gripping end to the book. A little bit boring in the middle.
