  • Only love can conquer hate

It was well written, but I could never connect with Amira. She seemed to keep getting in her own way

  • Barely Chai plays a role.

I am impressed with topics the book deals with our current status. The main character Armira struggles with social and political issues. The writing is very average. Some parts are very caricatures, which is a disappointment. With strong issues, the book felt partly comedy.

  • Both enjoyable and thoughtful.

I really enjoyed this story. It's rom com with a feminist twist. The protagonists felt realistic, and although it's a fun, light read, it still deals with serious issues and themes in our society.

  • Amazing

Loved it. What a masterwork. I am forever grateful to authors who represent diaspora families so well.

  • The chai factor

Wonderful romance novel I couldn’t put down! It addresses many timely topics: racism, sexism, homophobia and multicultural among them. The novel is full of interesting and very real characters. Finally, I learned a lot more about Indian culture!
