  • The Changi Brownlow

A very direct informative story of the ingenuity of the Australian spirit. Should be only secondary school reading lists.

  • Human spitit never beaten

In a terrible place at a terrible time people were able to show the strength of human spirit. This is not just another war book but a triumph over the evil suffered by POW's held by the Japanese. You don't need to be a fan of Aussie Rules as it may equally have been rugby, cricket, baseball or soccer. Roland Perry has woven this true tale in a very readable fashion and I am sure most readers will find the story touching and enjoyable
