  • I love all of Laura Florand's books but this is one of my very favorites. Florand is a master of crafting gorgeous words and building the beautiful world of French chocolate. This book deals with real issues of loyalty to work and family but the reader floats through it as if it were a fairytale. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves romance and chocolate!

  • The Chocolate Rose

I just love this story! It's sooo romantic without being too mushy. Can't wait to read the other series. I'm a fan now.

  • The Chocolate Rose

The perfect romance for a foodie. The batter and broken heart of a pastry chef is put back together by the daughter of his biggest enemy in the food world. Also the description of France definitely makes you want to visit this part of the world for the sights and taste of the Old World.

  • Funny and Passionate

I don't give many romance stories 5 stars, but this one deserves it. Well written, interesting romance story revolving around food and set in France. Nice use of French and kitchen knowledge to keep it authentic. Great characters, there was some believable depth to them which made their story believable. This is the first book I have read by this author, and I was very pleasantly surprised - it put me in mind of the wry humour of romance author Susan Elizabeth Phillips. A touching read that made me both chuckle and shed a tear. Beautiful story.
