  • A Delicious Holiday Romance!

Another fab Holiday novella by the esteemed Ms. Campbell! I just can’t get enough of these to read during the holidays. They are the perfect feel-good romantic stories to relax with and dream with. In this story, an older rich confirmed bachelor, Dr. Thomas Black, is asked for assistance by an old friend to introduce her son (Joss, an architect) to an eligible young woman because “it was high time he found a wife” and didn’t seem to be able to do it on his own. Dr. Black cooks up a scheme to have the young man report to a manor house he owns to see what renovations needed to be made to the long-ignored manse. At said manse there is a young lady {Maggie) in charge while all the servants are gone for the holiday. In the middle of a blizzard Joss arrives at the manse and surprises Maggie as she did not expect anyone to come visiting the manse during the holiday. I will not tell the tale any further now and give the delightful details away but there is a very happy ending to this delicious romance!

  • Fabulous story for any time of the year!

I absolutely love Anna Campbell's Novellas and The Christmas Stranger is no exception! Josiah (Joss) Hale is a London architect who is asked by his Godfather Dr. Thomas Black to travel to Thorncraft Hall to give his opinion on modernizing the manor. What Joss doesn't know is that his mother Kitty has written to his Godfather for his assistance in finding Joss a possible bride. Margaret (Maggie) Carr is the current housekeeper at Thorncraft Hall. She took the position 5 years ago when her mother who was Dr. Black's cousin passed away. Being it's Christmas, Maggie ends up being at Thorncraft Hall by herself for the holidays. Unfortunately Dr. Black forgets to write to Maggie letting her know that Joss will be arriving and this is when our couple first meet. Maggie and Joss were such a fun couple. Anna's couples always have great witty dialogue between them and the undercurrent of attraction makes for a most pleasant read! This one also has a fabulous epilogue! Although the story takes place around Christmas this could be read any time of the year!
