  • The Collectors

This is an excellent short story by Philip Pullman. Everything he writes is full of depth leaving the reader wanting more and more. Set again in Oxford centred around two university professors discussing an old story. You know something is bound to happen. A good read for followers of this brilliant author.

  • Madonna and monkey

Pullman paints a picture so effortlessly and with such finesse. This short story is no exception -clever, oblique and atmospheric.

  • The Collectors

I enjoyed the not knowing what was going to happen until nearly the last minute. Then the unexpected ending...very good!!

  • alright

Its ok i guess. The scenes are set well and the characters are described thoroughly, but the story is a bit anti-climactic and it ends abrubtly. Not as good as pullmans other works.

    Thanks for your feedback!
