  • Fascinating

Once past the irritation due to the dearth of punctuation, of no capitalisation and the childlike yet formal delivery, all that is forgotten in this heartbreaking yet reaffirming story of a girl's life of hardship and poverty. Of her strength and stoic acceptance and even reliance on such a condition. Interspersed with all this grit are moments of tenderness that even she seems to barely recognise.

    Thanks for your feedback!

  • The colour of milk

An enjoyable but sad story - it gives insight into the difficult life had by agriculture workers, particularly women, in 1830 England.
