  • The Crepes of Wrath

I enjoyed the characters and the story very much. Enough mystery to keep me going to find out who the bad guy or gal was. A few twists too.

    Thanks for your feedback!

  • The Crepe House

A good read, murder and mystery. A break in at the flip side and then her home. Who is it and what do they want. A Spiteful mad ex waitress, hell bent on causing trouble.

  • A great cozy, first in a new series!

The first in a new series! A strong plot involving murder, stolen goods, some not so nice characters, and a hint of romance thrown in, make this a 5 star cozy for me. Marley McKinney’s cousin, Jimmy, is hospitalized so she agrees to help run his pancake house while he recovers. She loves Wildwood Cove where she used to spend her summers, and thinks she’ll be there for a couple of weeks. Unfortunately, cousin Jimmy is found murdered and she is determined to find the killer. Who would want to kill Jimmy, and why? This was a first rate whodunit. I enjoyed the small town setting and the inhabitants. The characters were well written, and the solving of the case had twists with some different possibilities to ponder. I look forward to reading the next in this series. I received an ARC from the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This did not influence my opinions and the thoughts expressed are my own.

  • Loved it!

murder-investigation, law-enforcement, greed, small-business, small-town Murder of a beloved elder relative who is also beloved by the small coastal community. Marley took time off from her job in Seattle to manage the pleasant eatery owned by Jimmy who had been in hospital with pneumonia. Turns out that he got himself out of hospital at the wrong time and wound up dead, not of drowning but having been stabbed to death first. Law enforcement is good despite being small, but Marley has a need to help, especially after some threatening incidents. No lack of misdirection, red herrings, and disquieting characters. Good sleuthing! Marguerite Gavin adds to the suspense with her narration.
