  • Addictive

Smashing mysteries with an irrepressible heroine and a range of well drawn supporting characters. The period details are authentic and the stories capture life after the Great War.

  • Well written authentic people and places

Daisy's narrative is like sitting with an old friend as she reminisces about life in her 20's with her war veteran husband as she does what she needs to do to make ends meet. I enjoyed these stories, the characters are well written people and details of post war life are authentic.

  • The Daisy Gumm Majesty Book

I enjoyed the historical aspects of the era - clothing, social norms, values, manners and so forth. Daisy is a very progressive woman who knows how to make lemonade from the lemons life throws at her. The book is filled with humour, great character development, and gems of wisdom.

  • Enjoyable series

20 year old Daisy Gumm Majesty has a lot on her plate.....a husband (who was badly injured during W.W. 1), being the main breadwinner of the family (her mother & aunt work, but her father can’t because of a heart attack), clients that call on her all the time, and a big heart that gets her tangled up helping a lot of people. She’s feisty, kind, can sew but can’t cook (thank goodness for Aunt Vi) and has a lot of backbone. The only negative in this series is a lot of repetition, but I can look past this because the books are enjoyable.

    Thanks for your feedback!
