  • Honest and Heart Breaking

It's good to see Paige and Warden again after such a long wait. The novella allows us to see the consequences of what Paige experienced and how she tries to heal. It is heart breaking to see and yet also so honest. Samantha Shannon also manages to slip in a few light-hearted moments which give hope.

  • Getting to know you

Set between The Song Rising and The Mask Falling, this novella describes Paige and Warden's relationship shortly after fleeing London and the physchological and physical aftermath of their traumatic experiences. It also delves deeper into the events of The Bone Season, providing details I hadn't realised I wanted but I'm delighted to have. A perfect length work and excellent teaser for the 4th novel in the series.

  • Dawn Chorus

This Bone Season novella is a worthy addition to the series! Page & Warden are the centre around which the rebellion revolves but even they need time to heal. Page has been tortured & almost destroyed but Warden is there for her as she comes to terms with her trauma. A sensitive well written description of surviving trauma & coping with the aftermath.
